Celebration of Family - Poem

For my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary

At a time when families

Are being torn apart

What keeps families together?

Unity of heart

Hearts knit together

By God above

Who’s given us His Spirit

Of enduring love

In times of trouble

We hold fast

In times of conflict

We forgive the past

In times of need

Generosity abounds

In times of illness

Prayer makes the rounds

Let us strengthen

The ties that bind us this year

So our children may reap the blessings

God bestows when we uphold

All that He holds dear

For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever.

His faithfulness continues to each generation.
