Christmas Poem Dedicated to my Daughter 2012

You think if you had a million dollars
You’d be happy as a clam
But money does not buy happiness
Let’s ask King Solomon

God loved and blessed him with
Wisdom, wealth and all his heart’s desires
But all this stuff he thought would make him happy
Just made him really tired.

And when his life was ending
He found himself alone
His life wasted seeking earthly treasures
Instead of seeking God’s throne.

So child remember as you grow
If every thing you wish for
Isn't underneath the tree
It's because we love you too much to see
You waste this life God gave you
Not being all God intends you to be.

Seek God and Heaven first
In all you say and do
And you will see His blessings overflow
And know God’s promises are TRUE.

So when you get some extra blessings
Pass them on to one without
God promises He’ll refill your pockets
Of this you need not doubt.

For everyone you help
God will keep account
And when you get to Heaven,
He will draw you near and whisper
“Child, I’m proud of you”
And on your head a Crown of Righteousness
He will surely mount.

Written with all my love,
Your Mom Yolanda
